Position: Test Engineer
Location: Remote
Salary Range: $75,000 to $81,500 per year.
US Citizenship is required for clearance (i.e., no dual citizenships).

KeyLogic is currently searching for a Test Engineer to support one of our Department of Energy contracts in the Albuquerque, NM area.

This is a remote position.

Corporate Web Design & Development provides web design and development services across the enterprise. Organization considers the necessary content management and delivery vehicles needed to attain customer business goals, including web content and communication products. The Subcontractor shall consult and support all aspects of web development, such as systems analysis and design, user interface and experience design, workflow support, programming, project leadership, and product user training and support.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement testing (e.g., regression, functional, data validation, system integration, or performance tests) for new and existing functionality
Work closely with development teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the development process
Plan, create, execute, and automate test cases, working with business partners, developers, and other stakeholders

Document and analyze test results and recommend corrective action
Isolate, reproduce, and manage defects, and verify fixes

Support user acceptance testing conducted by business partners or end users
Identify opportunities to reduce testing time and effort by automating repeatable tests
Understand and apply automated testing approaches such as model-based testing or record-and-replay
Review developers’ test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage (where applicable)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience
In lieu of a degree, relevant experience is applicable.
Experience designing and implementing test plans
Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate, and document defects
Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Collaboration skills and ability to work on a team
Adaptability and willingness to learn
Proficiency in Mac and Windows platforms and all major browsers

Desired Skills:

Strong knowledge of agile practices and experience with agile planning tools
Agile software development experience
Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript

Experience writing test automation scripts

Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, XRay, Qtest, Quality Center)
Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer, Playwright)
Experience working with web applications, HTML, CSS, JSON, and REST APIs
Understanding of web accessibility standards
Familiarity with content management systems
